16th August 2009: I just completed the main submission forms for the website. There's more to do but I will finish it off when the beta comes out if I can get myself a beta key. For now, we all look forward to Starcraft 2's release next year!
6th August 2009: The other day I finished the starcraft maps forum. My to do list includes setting up the upload scripts for maps, mods and tutorials. Hopefully it won't take too long... but regardless Starcraft 2 has been delayed until 2010 now so it's not like there's a hurry. Good thing too - I have sooo much work on at the moment. When I release the site I'll be relying on you guys to point out features you want, etc. since the game is still unreleased there's much to contemplate for what we'll want in the website. Again, leave a comment below if you have any ideas/features you want to share for the website. I check the comments area periodically, don't be shy!
28th July 2009: About 95% of the website is now complete with the layout being about 98% complete. The rest of my work now includes various forms and testing. Of course, I don't know the file formats until Starcraft 2 is actually released (or at least the BETA) but that shouldn't be a problem. I should also mention that StarcraftMaps.net will NOT be including the original Starcraft so as to not delay the website further, but there are many websites for the original Starcraft already so that's fine. This website will now be dedicated to Starcraft 2.
4th July 2009: I'm progressing nicely with the website. In fact, most of the core website is complete. I'm currently working on the layout of the website - I also have to consider what areas to add. I'm also unsure if I should have one website for both Starcraft 1 and 2, or a seperate one for each game. Most likely I will be combining the two games into one website, where you can filter files belonging to either Starcraft 1 or 2. Any suggestions? Leave them below in the comments area, thanks!
16th May 2009: Do not despair. The website is being developed - I am a one-man team building everything from scratch, however I believe the website will be ready by Starcraft 2's release date. I personally used to develop maps for Warcraft 3 (eg. Tag You're It!, Depths of Hell), and so like you I know what I want from my maps database and website. Please leave any suggestions for website features below in the comments area so that I can consider implementing them. Thank you.
NEW Blizzard Flash Game!
Blizzard have release a new flash game called Failoc-alypse - click here to play! - you can play as Jim Raynor, a Draenei Death Knight or a Witchdoctor! There seem to be a few glitches, but it's still a fun little game to check out... enjoy everyone!
Starcraft 2 News
Starcraft 2 will be released as a trilogy to allow each race (terran, zerg, protoss) a full-game campaign.
Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty Estimated Release Date: *April 2010 - August 2010
*It is likely that the Starcraft 2 BETA will take approximately 4-6 months, which means it will not be released until at earliest April 2010 assuming it starts by the the start of 2010.

I'm the website creator. Let me first say that the issue was probably caused by a backup of my site being restored and failing to fully transfer that file because it's fairly large.
I am now re-uploading it, so by the time you're reading this its ... read more»

I believe they said they are releasing it simultaneously globally meaning asia will be released at the same time as everywhere else.
